FIBA executives Andreas Zagklis and David Crocker visit Manila

FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis and FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Executive Director David Crocker arrived in Manila on Monday.

They conducted ocular inspections in preparation for the World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia next year.

Zagklis, together with representatives of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, visited the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. The world’s largest indoor arena will be one of the venues for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

SBP President Al Panlilio and FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Executive Director David Crocker shared their excitement for Filipino fans, who will welcome the best teams and the best players in the world.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will welcome 32 teams in Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines in August 2023. The final phase of the tournament, including the championship match, will be played at the Philippine Arena.
