Janine Pontejos put on a spectacular shooting display in the Shoot-Out
Finals of the 2018 Fiba 3×3 World Cup at the Philippine Arena by
scoring 11 points to best a field that included Croatia’s Martin
Hrvoje, Russia’s Maksim Dybovskii and Alexandra Stolyar.
Pontejos the Business Management graduate from Centro Escolar
University hit two shots in her first rack. Then she waxed hot in the
middle and third racks hitting eight consecutive shots at one point.
She finished with a total of 14 points in 41.86 seconds beating
Stolyar’s same number in 49.92.
Hrvoje hit 11 for the bronze medal.
