Cavite coaches reflect on the Coaches Clinic

Oliver Bunyi (played for DLSU in college and the Nueva Ecija Patriots in the MBA)
It was successful and we’re very happy with the attendance. We had 78 attendees
despite the conflict with the scheduling of the ongoing Palarong Pambansa. The target
was 120 but the number isn’t so bad. We learned that a lot of the participants enjoyed
the seminar.
Coaches Jong, Ryan, and Mark did a great job. They simplified everything about the
game. They put them in terms the new level coaches can understand. We also had
some veteran coaches in attendance but they still participated.
The feedback we got is everyone learned a lot and they hope there are follow up
seminars.

The seminars helped the young coaches grasp the concepts and learn something new
about offense and defense. This will go a logn way in helping them develop their own
systems in accordiance with their players.
With a porgram like this, coaches from the provinces will help their players compete in a
higher level. It will also help the SBP discover new talent that they can tap for the
national pool.
